Three gentlemen were ready to leave a restaurant and asked the waiter for the check. The waiter, looking at the total amount of $25.00, saw the opportunity to take advantage and steal $5.00, thus changing the bill to a total of $30.00.
Upon analyzing the check, each client paid the waiter $10.00.
After a thoughtful meditation, the waiter decided he’d only steal $2.00 instead of the original $5.00, thus giving each man $1.00 back.
The waiter ended up with $2.00 and the 3 men with a shared amount of $9.00 each.
