Buy Buddha Statue
I have little statues in my room of both fat Buddha and thin Buddha, is this okay?
I’m not a “chinese” Buddhist and I believe Buddha was thin, but I do own a fat Buddha statue.
Is this okay?
Well..I know it’s okay but does it mean the same thing essentially?
I bought it before I knew a lot about Buddhism.
I tried finding an answer but I’m not clear on whether the fat Buddha IS Buddha or a Bodhisattva.
I don’t see why people answer if they’re just going to say something unnecessary but okay..some of them made me laughh.
It begs the question
If you term yourself Buddhist why is it you don’t know how to recognize the Founder and how to to refer to Him correctly How He should be placed and why you find humour in many of the ignorant replies
Would you be better studying for awhile Going for refuge and then term yourself Buddhist
Lord Buddha should not be placed in the room of a married Lady nor placed lower than you are when you sit in a normal seat He should also be placed slightly higher than Bodhisattva Maitreya
