could meditation prepare one’s mind for a psychadelic drug? by learning to control the “flow of conciousness”?

ok so i’ve read that there are many people who believe that meditating regularly can prepare your mind for a psychadelic drug. i think this may be true too. since i’ve begun meditating, i find that i can stop negative thoughts in their tracks more easier now. so my meditating seems to have given me more control of my “flow of conciousness.” i find that now when i smoke marijuana, i can control my flow of conciousness better which is a good thing. so could this go for stronger psychoactive drugs too?

i read an article that said that meditation can make your brain more able to experience positive emotions and to have better thought control. so wouldn’t a regular meditatior be able to control a magic mushroom trip better than someone who doesnt meditate regularly. people who meditate regularly also develop stronger gamma brainwaves, which gives them an overall “higher” conciousness/awareness even when they are not meditating.

Meditation is a crack pot excuse for people to use drugs when any GOOD guru knows they are NOT required. Proper meditation involves ALLOWING these higher consciousness experiences to come to you- WITHOUT the use of drugs.

Higher consciousness is more like the state of being, being within the here and now. For example, the understanding that the second that you are in now is the only relevant one and the only one you need to focus on. Everyone is going back and forth and living fifteen minutes into now or starting their workday by staring at the clock waiting for it to end when it has not even begun. Remember this: True consciousness is the awareness of now.

I understand the use of marijuana and I won’t say that I am for it or against it, but I will say that if you want to obtain a higher level of awareness you are better without. You have to learn to control your consciousness WITHOUT the use of drugs and that involves various deep meditations and training your mind, your pineal gland, etc.
