Other than coming here, how do you pass the time?

Knitting, video games, watching movies, playing with my dogs, learning how to play the bamboo flute, talking to my lady, and many more things………..reading, studying religions, meditation, listenting to music, window shopping, teaching my nieces and nephews the art of ‘giving daps’, so much stuff to do, it is a wonder that you guys see me at all.
If I could find some people that would let me, I would also be doing some paranormal investigating on supposedly haunted property, but so far, nobody trusts a large man in a black trench coat to do some overnight recording work on their property.

I canoe, spelunk and mountain climb daily and prowl around in old cemeteries (untouched native grasses) and look for new varieties of moss. I tend the plugs of moss with great care in Dixie cups kept at the right temp and humidities in a growing collection of old refrigerators in my basement. I am always having great trouble keeping the higher altitude mosses alive at lower altitudes, but I’m thinking about that. I am teaching myself photography and take micro-photographs of the moss and some of their itsy-bitsy flowers. Under the microscope with a nifty way to put the image on my computer, the flowers look like lovely rosy magnolia blossoms and such on trees. Some of the miniature blossoms, which are too small to hardly ever be noticed as individuals, are so beautiful that they have brought tears to my eyes. I print-out images of my moss blossoms and then make watercolor paintings of the moss in the natural surroundings I found it. Those paintings are for my granddaughter who is very aware of nature and such usually unseen beauty. And, I skydive base jump off mountains.
