Meditation
Imagine you are stargazing from the terrace of an ancient hilltop villa–on a jasmine scented night. A celestial being appears. She is dressed in a gossamer gown with a crown of stars holding up her golden hair. She beckons you to sit by her on a garden bench.
She’s surrounded by a celestial luminosity like a seer, a Goddess, or an oracle from an enchanted land. She says, ‘You are a soul of pure illumination. Sit quietly and listen to your inner voice.’
Her voice is soft and unhurried: ‘Life expands to the degree of courage. Courage comes from the word ‘coeur’ meaning ‘heart’. It is the heart to act–and with those actions imbued by heart that make them like a magic wand.’ You breathe in deeply and feel safe, brave, and strong.
When she smiles everything turns a golden-pink with the fragrance of roses. ‘Your soul is nurtured by beauty: Music, art, creativity, ritual, story, myth, love, charm, dance, flowers, laughter and being by the sea. These make life a joy.’ You close your eyes breathe all of this beauty and fragrance deep into your being.
When she gently touches your hand your eyes open and you are bathed in an effervescent light of crystals and diamonds. Before you is the shimmering reflection of your eternal soul–more beautiful than anything you could ever imagine. You feel the serenity and wholeness of being one with the entire cosmos.
She says, ‘Be true to yourself and your divinity. The power of the universe is yours if you believe. Illuminate your true spirit and discover your gift that can only serve truth, beauty, humanity and eternity. The aura that envelops you will brighten to the degree that you live with love, courage and honor.’ She kisses you on the cheek and vanishes.
Whatever old story you told before–write it down, then burn it, by water if possible saying, ‘Take this Universe, I don’t need it anymore. Tell me your highest dream for me.’ Close your eyes and invoke the spiritual energies of truth, intuition, courage, beauty and your soul. Then write your new story as you wish it to be.
Several times a day, sit quietly, close your eyes and hold your new story next to your heart–visualize it energetically alive in the spiritual realm, ready to be born into physical reality like a long awaited and greatly beloved baby. Feel the miraculous energies of the universe flowing through your heart and hands and into your dreams, making them realized. Think often during the day of your beautiful idea. Make it brighter and more intensely real each day until it’s here. By doing so you will be following in the wise, brave and elegant footsteps of the Goddess who loves the act of creating beauty most of all. Can you see her there in the distance, looking back at you–smiling and proud?
