Méditation how much time to control shamatha (respiration) ?

I have started meditation since 2 month ago , i have already the good effect with reduction of my pain linked to the stress .
But i know that i control almost nothing in samatha , i have few minutes of concentration , for a long moment of distraction .
So i think that there a lot of time before controlling it

(scuse me if my english is not perfect i’m french

i dunno abt controlling respiration but u can try observing the breath. for this lie down comfortably and relax the muscles

after some time when the muscles r relaxed u will be a mere spectator of ur breaths and u will become very peaceful.
