What is a Christian?

I was raised going to a Baptist church, where ppl call themselves christians, I have friends that attend pentecostal, some go to Jahova’s witnesses, and some are catholic and some are presbyterians and they all call themselves christians… do we belong to the same religion since Christianity is considered a religion? If so then why are some called protestants?
this is a list of different religions I found:
• Christianity
• Scientology
• Hinduism
• NEW! Wicca
• Judaism
• Bahá’í
• Islam
• Unity Church of Christianity
• Buddhism
• New Age
• NEW! Nation of Islam
• Mormonism
• Hare Krishna
• Unification Church
• Jehovah’s Witnesses
• Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism
• Christian Science
• Transcendental Meditation

There are many types of Christians… all decendant from “believers of Christ”. This includes Catholics, Protestants, and many other religions. There are slight differences, but they are all under the same umbrella of the category “Christianity”.

That’s why I find it funny when people say they are “Christian.” It’s like, yeah, which kind?

Its influence waned, ironically, after the courts decided that TM was a religion rather than a form of therapy, as TM had claimed. But its popularity helped open the doors to a wider acceptance o…
